As we discussed on Day 2, the home space has had to adapt to become many things other than a home. Why not really push the limits of what your homes can become.....

Staycation station

It's been a rough few weeks, why not treat yourself to a little holiday right here at home.

Choose a country/town/city/event where you’d like to be right now but can’t because of quarantine.

Choose a sound effect for this space, something from Youtube perhaps, or maybe something from the BBC's collection: http://bbcsfx.acropolis.org.uk/

Recreate that place as best you can, perhaps:

Swim in the bath

Lay on your towel in the front room with the ocean on the tv.

Put on the clothes you would wear at this place.

If you are able, eat or drink something that is associated with this place.

A room with a view

The views from our windows seldom change, through them we watch the world go by, and we watch the seasons change. What if our windows looked out onto something completely different?

Why not experiment with the idea that our homes can become something else entirely?

It's time to get crafty.....

Cut out a different skyline to stick in your window, or perhaps a complete picture to stick in your window, a different view transporting you to somewhere else.

How does this new view make you feel?

Leave these views in your window for a while.

How does it feel to keep coming in and remembering you now have a view of a completely different part of the world?

How would it feel to have this as your view everyday?

Is there anything you miss about your old view?

Examples of this can be found on our twitter page @misguideathome

A postcard from the past.

Nobody know how things will be after the pandemic has subsided. However (hopefully) things will be different to how they currently are, and life as it is will be a distant memory.

Make a postcard for your future self to remember things as they are right now

(old cardboard or paper will do).

Some ideas of what to write:

Reflect on the changes that have happened in your local area.

How does your local area feel, how has it changed?

What does your home feel like?

What was it like having your home serve so many purposes.

Thank you very much for joining us for this misguide, we hoped you enjoyed it! Please feel free to share you experiences, creations and thoughts with us on twitter on the #misguideasthome or tweet us at @MisguideH
