Welcome to day 1 of your misguide to your home! Today, pause for a moment and take in your surroundings. This may feel like an unusual request in your own home, a place that feels so familiar, but how much do you notice in your home? Are these places so familiar you've stopped properly looking at them?

Shapes and hidden faces

Make the most of all this time in your home to 'rexplore' it. Perhaps discover, or rediscover things. Here's a few tasks to get you started:

Count all the door handles in your home.

How many square items are there in your living room?

Which window has the best view?

Find a hidden face in your furniture.

Which room has the floor with the most wear?

Stories of the house

Have you ever thought about what stories your walls would tell if they were able to speak? What secrets have they witnessed, what sights have they seen. It's strange to think that before you, there were others that called this place home, even if your house is brand new, this ground on which it stands has been walked before.

What have you noticed about your house since being in isolation?

Does your house makes noises you hadn't noticed before?

Imagine there's a ghost living in your house, or the land it's built on. The ghost can be friendly or unfriendly.

Write a story about this ghost.

What's their name?

What do they want?

Home as your nation

During times of social distancing, being confined to your own home is a strange thing. Your home becomes a place which you must remain within, a place which does not welcome others to cross it's boundaries and enter into.

Imagine your house was its own country....

What would the laws be?

Is there a national dish?

The name of the currency?

The national anthem?

What would the flag look like?

What myths and legends exist here?

Write a lonely planet synopsis for your country.

Thank you for participating in Day 1, we hope to see you back here tomorrow for Day 2! Don't forget you can share your creations with us over on Twitter @MisguideH.
